Vineyard: Deep rocky soils with layered deposits of granite gravel beds. Swift drainage due to low water holding capacity. Conca de Barberà is located in the north of the province of Tarragona. It extends over a plain flanked by the rivers Francolí and Anguera and protected from the influence of the Mediterranean Sea by the mountains that surround it, especially the Sierra de Prades.
Varietal composition: Cariñena, Garnacha, Querol, Monastrell, and Garró
Vinification: Classic red vinification in small stainless steel tanks with slow extraction. Another 18 months in French oak barriques and foudres (finegrained Tronçais, 50% new barriques and 25% foudres) beefore bottling.
Tasting Notes: Familia Torres Grans Muralles 2019 unveils a range of aromas featuring strong accents of blueberries and luscious red fruits, complemented by subtle traces of dried blossoms and a gentle touch of nutmeg. On the palate, bold and intense while preserving a refined balance. Its age is expressed with elegance, delivering a smooth texture that persists in a lengthy and satisfying finish.
