Vineyard: North of Nuits-Saint-Georges, on calcareous, clayey and well-drained soils.
Vinification: manual harvesting followed by classic red vinification. Maturation lasts 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, 25% to 30% of which are new.
The cellars of the historic Château de Beaune offer the ideal conditions to apply the ageing of the Premier Crus.
Tasting notes: Pure intense red. The nose is dominated by ripe red fruits, red currants and black fruit notes complemented by mushrooms and autumn leaves. Masterfully integrated barrel with soft nutty tones. On the palate it is juicy, smooth and elegant with red fruit character, silky tannins and excellent acidity. Long finish.
Pairs with: Red meats cooked in rich sauces, medium-bodied cheeses and cured meats.
Serve at: 17 - 18°C.
Ageing: 7-10 years.
