Demerara Distillers are famed for operating some truly unique stills from different sugar estates in Guyana. The distillery however is best known for its three wooden stills which are all made from Guyanese hardwood called Greenheart.

Demerara Distillers Limited release some Limited Edition rums that come from one still pot. El Dorado Rare Collection Versailles is from the Versailles still. It is a cask strength, non-blended and non-chill filtered rum, which is aged for 12 years before release, in ex-bourbon barrels under tropical conditions in the barrel warehouses.

Nose: Aromas of sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon are combined with almond, toffee and a touch of oak.

Taste: It is warm and dry with notes of dried fruits, vanilla and almond in a background of oak.

Aftertaste: Round and sweet finish.
