Domaine Chatelain has been in the Chatelain family for generations, well aware of the particularities of the characteristic kimmeridgian soil of Chablis. The specific composition of the soil, dating back to the Jurassic period, combined with the influence of the Serein river, provide the basis of Chablis' reputation: a rich and elegant white wine with a fine mineral style.

The Fourchaume is one of the most recognized spots in Chablis. The favourable position of the vineyards combined with the beneficial effect of the sun, create a Chablis that stands deservedly next to the best Grand Crus.

Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay

Tasting Notes: 

Soft lemon color. Elegant aromas of green apple, citrus and almond on a background of wet stone and characteristic minerality. Crisp acidity perfectly balanced with the oily texture and salinity from the terroir. Long and lemony finish that lingers.
