The recipe and processing methods are secrets kept and guarded by members of the Underberg family since 1846. This experience and knowledge about how to carefully extract the precious herbal essences and how to turn them into a fragrant drink has been preserved by the secret SEMPER IDEM process. Today, the Underberg recipe is known by only 5 people!
