This particular Laphroaig is a blend of five different barrels representing each of the distillery's key styles. The master distiller creates Laphroaig Select from Quarter Cask, PX Cask, Triple Wood and a final 10 Year Old addition, with the final whisky expressing a subtle blend of peat, oak and sweetness.

The heart of this spirit comes from whisky finished in new American oak casks, a technique rarely used to mature Scotch whisky. 

On the nose, Laphroaig's trademark peaty smell is highlighted, combined with aromas of ripe red fruits from the Pedro Ximenez and Olorosso barrels.

The body is full-bodied, with the characteristic flavours of peat and oak making their presence felt, followed by a rich finish. The finish is long.
