
In 1970, Enrique Forner founded Marqués de Cáceres, Unión Vitivinícola, S.A., a historic Alliance between a region (Cenicero, La Rioja Alta), an enterprising family that has been devoted to the wine trade for five generations, the best vine growers and vineyards in La Rioja and a Bordeaux concept which revolutionised the production and business model with a single objective: the quality to obtain the best wines, an obsession that today continues to be the leitmotiv of Cristina Forner, the third generation of this distinguished wine family.
Sparkling Cava Brut, Maques De Caceres
Varietal Composition: 50% Xarel.lo, 30% Macabeo, 20% Parellada.
Vineyards: 25+ years old, located in the Penedès area. The grapes from the 3 from different vineyards and hand-harvested between 25th August and 25th September.
Tasting Notes: Pale straw colour revived by fine bubbles. Bouquet of brioches with a hint of apples and white flowers. Dry and balanced in the mouth with good length intensified by its fine bubbles.
Paired With: A refreshing aperitif. Marries well with all types of international cuisine such as fish and seafood, rice, pasta, white meats, spicy dishes and cheese
