It is created from the best Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes from our small vineyard Agulladolç, which is also home to a beautiful 11th century Romanesque hermitage. After 18 months in new French oak barrels and thanks to the great quality of the tannins in this wine.
Cabernet Franc: A red grape variety that is grown in the vineyards of the central Penedès. The berries are small and spherical with a thin skin.
Cabernet Sauvignon: A red grape that is native to Bordeaux, known for its dense tannins, deep colour, fruity aromas and elegant structure. It produces the most famous Torres wines. Mas la Plana.
Tasting Notes: Deep garnet red wine, it offers a mature richness of fruit (dark berry jam) framed by notes of toasted oak, chocolate and spices. Elegantly structured with a backbone of delicate acidity and fine, silky, mature tannins.
Excellent with meat dishes such as roasts or the stews typical of Mediterranean cuisine, meat braised in tomato and pepper sauce or cooked with aromatic herbs and spices (thyme, oregano, rosemary, laurel and pepper).
