
Vineyard: The prestigious vineyards of Pommard are located between Beaune and Volnay, where the Côte de Beaune makes a slight turn towards Autun. The soils are calcareous and clayey, rich in iron.
Vinification: Classic red vinification in small tanks. Maturation lasts 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 30-40% of which are new.
Characteristics: Its colour reflects its juvenility, with a colour ranging from intense ruby red to deep purple. Aromas of red fruits, primarily cherry and blackberry, coexist with subtle notes of liquorice and moist earth, hints of vanilla and cedar. On the palate, the 2020 vintage stands out for its balance with present but elegant tannins. The zesty acidity delivers freshness, emphasising the flavours. The palate is dominated by red fruits and spices, evolving elegantly to a persistent aftertaste.
Pairs with: Large cuts of red meat, hunting, rich mushroom-based dishes.
Sevred at: 17-18°C.
