
Vineyard: Côte-Rôtie. Plots on steep slopes Côte Blonde consist of silicone limestone soil, while the soil in Côte Brunes is rich in iron oxide. The average age of vines is 35 years.
Vinification: The proportion of grape varieties is 96 % Syrah, 4% Viognier. Closed stainless steel tanks. Automatic punching down and temperature controlled fermentation. Average 3 weeks in tanks.
Tasting notes: Dark ruby red. On the nose are detected aromas of spices, red berries and delicate oak. On the palate the round, soft tannins meet aromas of raspberry, blackberry and vanilla. Balance between scarcely perceptible acidity and tannins which add ageing potential and softened by long ageing in oak
