Vineyard: Agiorgitiko comes forms selected old plots with old vines, in the semi-mountainous zone of Nemea whilst the Cabernet Sauvignon comes from selected plots of family owned vineyards in Tegea.
Varietal composition: 70% Agiorgitiko, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification: Manual harvest followed by classic red vinifidcation with extended extractions. The wine is ageing for 24 months in French oak barrels (70% new - 30% 2nd use) and an additional 24 months in bottles.
Tasting notes: Deep red colour with ruby highlights. Aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruits, black berries, plum and sweet sour cherry, accompanied by notes of eucalyptus and spices. Fleshy and rich on the palate, with a strong tannic structure. The finish is tenacious, with complexity.
Pairs with: Who doesn't love a good juicy steak over a glass of red wine? Burgers, Portobello mushrooms, aged and ripe yellow cheeses.
Enjoy at 17°C.
