Vineyard: Bin 23 is the result of three important wine regions: Henty (Victoria), Tasmania and Adelaide Hills. All three regions enjoyed a relatively wet winter which set the vines up with good soil profiles for the growing season. Also, they offered good conditions for complete fruit maturation.
Vinification: Classic red vinification. The wine ages for 8 months in french oak barrels, with the 17% of them being new.
Tasting Notes: Light ruby colour. Complex bouquet with a dominant presence of red fruits like strawberries, cherries and raspberries, accompanied by vanilla and cedar notes resulting from the oak. In the mouth is elegant with velvet tannins and very well balanced acidity. The generous aftertaste leaves a sense of eucalyptus and mint.
Paired with: Mushroom risotto, top round roast beef, salmon dishes and prosciutto.
Served at: 16°C.
Aging potential: until 2024.
