
Vineyard: Beaune, Côte de Beaune, Côte-d'Or. Chalky soil with marl and limestone.
Vinification. After destemming, fermentation is carried out in small tanks and gentle pressure ensures optimal vinification. Depending on the profile of the harvest, the stay in the containers lasts 15 - 18 days. Maturation lasts 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, of which 25% to 35% are new.
The cellars of the historic Château de Beaune offer the ideal conditions to apply the ageing of the Premier Crus.
Characteristics: Deep red colour with brown to purple highlights. Complex bouquet of aromas including red fruit jam, figs, peonies and a hint of chocolate. The palette displays harmony, with good ripeness and intense but elegant tannins.
Pairs with: Meats with white sauce and poultry.
Serve at: 17 - 18°C.
Ageing: 5 to 7 years.
