Vinyard: Pydna Pieria
Vinification: Long-lasting extractions. Frequent agitation during the 15 month stay in american oak barrels.
Characteristics: Deep ruby color which was produced from the frequent agitation (Battonage). In the nose mature cherries, strawberries and notes that are revealed as time passes by in the glass. A mouth full of tannines which concludes with flavors of dried plums and spices.
Paired with: beef and pork meat, burgers and sausages.
Served at: 15-17ºC.
Aging: 2-3 years.
Cellier notes: An old greek grape variety which settled down in southern Italy, returns back home in one of the most remarkable examples of experimental winemaking.
