In 1888 Spyros Metaxa creates, possibly, the smoothest amber spirit under the Sun. Ever since, the art of wine-making, distilling, ageing and blending creates the unique brandy METAXA.

It is made of raisins (sultanina, savatiano and mavri korinthiaki). It is then mixed with aged wine from muscat grapes from Samos and Limnos. Metaxa matures in handmade french Limousin oak barrels for at least three years before it is flavored with a herbal blend of herbs, which includes rose petals and distilled water.

Nose: Light aromas of oak and vanilla as well as apricot and flowers such as orange, rose and violet.

Palate: Balanced with hints of white peach and brioche.

Aftertaste: Smooth with woody character.
