The oldest trademark, Mr Juan Torres Casals registered it on 7 February 1907. Having celebrated its 100th anniversary recently, it is no doubt one of the oldest trademarks with the most history in the Spanish wine making world.
Tempranillo: A traditional grape with an intense black colour and a hard skin. It is used to make wines of excellent ageing, moderate fruit acidity and pleasant aromas.
Cabernet Sauvignon: A red grape that is native to Bordeaux, known for its dense tannins, deep colour, fruity aromas and elegant structure. It produces the most famous Torres wines. Mas la Plana.
Tasting Notes: Brilliant, dark ruby red wine. Delicate floral (wild rose) and fruit (cherry) notes are joined by a fascinating balsamic note (cedar wood). Intense and expressive on the palate, with elegant tannins framed by toasted oak.
Paired with: Ideal with read meats, creamy cheeses and traditional paellas.
Served: At 17-18ºC.
